The Oxbow Tote pattern is a versatile zippered top tote bag in two sizes to sew! Features an easy-access front pocket, reinforced base, crossbody strap, and a roomy interior with a slip pocket. Customize yours by quilting!

  • The Regular size is a perfect work bag. It’s roomy but not bulky! It fits a laptop and notebooks with plenty of room to spare.
  • The Overnight size is just that, perfect for an Overnight trip! Now, depending on what you pack and the season, it would work for a weekend trip, too! Be sure to check out the finished dimensions in the pattern listing before committing to a certain size!

Description

Craft your own zippered top tote bag, available in two size variations! This versatile creation boasts a convenient front pocket for easy access, a sturdy reinforced base, a cross body strap for added comfort, and a spacious interior complete with a slip pocket. Make it uniquely yours by incorporating quilting elements!

Recommended Fabric

Midweight canvas, weighing between 6 to 8 ounces, for both the exterior and accent fabrics. Optionally, you can substitute dry oilskin, waxed twill, or waxed canvas for either the exterior or accent fabric.

Lining: Quilting cotton.

Refer to the instructions for guidance on substituting quilting cotton for the exterior fabric or incorporating quilting. Additionally, ensure you have ½ yard of low-loft cotton batting, fusible fleece, or foam on hand.

Cancellations or amendments can only be made to your booking within 48 hours of booking. Cancellations or amendments are not permitted after 48 hours of booking. In the unlikely event that we must cancel the class a full refund will be given, or you can choose to move your booking to another class of the same value. We will give you as much notice as possible by emailing you and/or telephoning on the number provided at the time of booking.

All classes must be paid for in advance. Bookings are securely processed via the website. Sew You Can do not store or access your bank details, these are processed securely by Stripe of Paypal. By booking a class you consent to receive emails from Sew You Can, you may opt out of this at any time.

Complementary lunch is provided on our all-day classes. This consists of soup and a sandwich option. The soup will be vegetarian and there will be at least one choice of vegetarian sandwich. Unfortunately, we cannot cater for any other dietary requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: Our studio is on the first floor and there is no lift.
