You can book online, simply choose which class and which date you want to attend and pay using credit or debit card. Alternatively, you can visit us in the studio and pay with cash or card.
Class bookings are non-refundable so please ensure you are able to attend before booking. We take a lot of care to ensure our classes are informative and enjoyable and planning them takes a lot of time. We also have to pay our teachers and buy materials in advance and keep our class numbers small which is why we’re not able to offer refunds. If you can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible because we may be able to transfer your booking to another date or class. This is at our discretion and will be dependent on waiting list/demand for classes. This is not part of the terms of booking which state classes are non-refundable 48 hours after booking. We need a minimum number of students for each class to run. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a class due to low attendance, staff sickness or unavoidable emergency. These instances are very rare and we’ll always give you as much notice as possible. You’ll be offered a space on an alternative class or a refund.

All classes need to be paid in full upon booking, unfortunately we are not able to reserve you a space without paying for the booking.
Yes! If you would like any help with choosing fabric & patterns for our classes, please pop in, give us a call or email, we are more than happy to help. You can also order your fabrics online before the class and either arrange to have them delivered to you (for pre-washing) or collect when you arrive for your class. We always recommend that you prewash fabrics prior to your class to avoid any shrinkage and disappointment!
All our fabrics are priced in 0.5m increments and this is the minimum we can cut for you, however if you want more you just need to add the total number of 0.5m increments to your basket. For example if you want 1.5m , you would add 3 to your basket and it will all be sent as one continuous length.
You’ll receive an email automatically generated by our system when you place your order and again when your order has been dispatched. If you do not receive either of these, please check your junk or spam folder before contacting us as they have usually ended up in there! You can avoid this in the future by marking our email address as “Not Spam”.
Classes are held at our bright beautiful studio in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. Full information on parking, arrival times etc will be included in your class booking confirmation email or you can find details on our contact page or footer of this page.
We are proud to be working in partnership with Janome, all our classes give you full use of our new top of the range Janome machines so you do not need to bring your machine with you. If you would like some tuition using your own machine, please contact us to discuss a one to one lesson.
Please call 07572047700 to let us know. Our tutors will do everything they can to get you caught up, but if you are more than 30 minutes late it is likely you will not have enough time to finish the project.
Bookings and purchases are securely processed via the website. Sew You Can do not store or access your bank details, these are processed securely by Stripe of Paypal. In the studio shop we can accept card or cash payments.
Cut fabrics are non-returnable. We aim to ensure we provide full and accurate descriptions and photographs of all our products, however colours may vary on different monitors. If you are unsure we recommend asking for a swatch before purchasing.
In the unlikely event your goods arrive damaged, please contact us on amanda@sewyoucan.co.uk within 48 hours of receipt to arrange a return and refund or exchange. Any sealed products being returned need to be unopened and in their original packaging. This does not affect your statutory rights.
