In our hugely popular Roman blind class, you will make a complete Roman Blind to your measurements. By the end of the class you will have a professional looking blind, ready to hang. You can source your own track, or make your life easier and INCLUDE the track with the class.
Our fabulous tutor Kay have decades of experience making curtains & blinds and will show you all the pro-tips and give you all the insider knowledge to make sure your blind has a professional finish!
Please note we can't accommodate blinds wider than 90cm in the studio space. If you need to make wider blinds we recommended coming along and making a smaller, trial blind to learn the skills first. Alternatively speak to us about a one to one.
With our expert help, you will create a professional, lined Roman blind that will be ready for you to take home and hang.
This is an intermediate level class; you need to be familiar with a sewing machine to complete this class and have completed some simple sewing projects.
What's included:
As well to all the tea you can drink, we will provide the sewing machines, all of the tools and threads you will need to complete your blind and the Roman blind tape, stick and sew velcro and blind cord.
IF YOU SELECT WITH TRACK WHEN BOOKING WILL ALSO INCLUDE A PROFESSIONAL TRACK TO HANG YOUR BLIND! We need 5 days notice before the class to have your track ready for you on the day.
What do I need to bring:
You will need to bring the fabric that you require for your blind. This will be main, outer fabric & lining.
This class is for you if:
You have used a sewing machine before, but we will not cover operating and threading the sewing machine in this class, so it is best suited to those who have sewn it before (on any sewing machine) or those who have completed our beginner's course.
This class is not for you if:
If you have never used a sewing machine before, look at our Beginners Complete Sewing Course.
LUNCH
We will take a half an hour break for lunch, please bring a packed lunch.
This is not really enough time to pop to the shops to buy something, so please bring your lunch with you so that we can ensure you have enough time to complete all of the projects.
We have a fridge you can store your lunch in and a microwave should you need. We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits.
PLEASE NOTE: After booking this class you will be sent two emails. This first will confirm your booking and the second will contain important information such as where to find us and the fabric requirements for the class. If you do not receive these please check your junk mail.
Amendments and cancelations are only permitted within 48 hours of booking, so please ensure you can make the dates.
Our studio is on the first floor and we are sorry, but there is no lift.
