Create your very own quilted table runner and placemats for your festive table.
In this class you will quilt a beautiful table runner to keep and use year after year.
We will show you how to accurately cut and place your quilt pieces for your runner and guide you as you stich them together. You will then sandwich, and back your runner before quilting and binding. With our expert help you will be able to do all of this in one day and have a stunning table runner to take home on the day.
You can also use the technique to create matching placemats. You can decide to make the runner or mats in the class and you will be given the instructions for both to take home.
Who is this class for?
- Anyone over 16 years with a little sewing knowledge.
- You need to be able to thread and operate a sewing machine and sew straight lines.
If you have been tempted to give quilting a try, this is a great introduction.
Materials Provided:
- Quilt wadding for your runner
- 100% Cotton Poplin to back & bind your runner
- Thread, sewing kit and machines to use.
What do I need to bring?
You need to bring the fabric for your runner top. This should be 5 fat quarters. If you wish to ALSO make the placemats, at home you will need an additional 5 fat quarters for 6 mats and 1m of quilt wadding.
This is an all day class so please also bring a packed lunch.
