In our amazing quilting class, you will create a beautiful quilt. Our fantastic tutor Laura will share with you all her tips for perfect cutting, pressing and, of course, lining everything up beautifully. Laura will guide you through the whole process, from the design/layout of your quilt to binding and finishing. By the end of the class, you will take home your lovingly made 38” x 45” quilt.
What's included:
Almost everything! We will provide you with all the sewing kit and machines you need to make your quilt, as well as top quality cotton wadding. We can provide 100% cotton to back and bind your quilt from a selection, but you are welcome to bring your own if you would like a particular colour.
What do I need to bring:
The only thing you need to bring is one pack of cotton fat quarters. Please make sure your pack has at least five different designs and 100% cotton for the back of the quilt if you do not wish to use the selection we have in the studio.
Who is this class for?
This class is for you if you had used a sewing machine before and completed some simple projects such as bunting, tote bags or cushions, and you feel ready to try a slightly more challenging project. This is an adult class for over 16s only.
This class is not for you if:
You have never used a sewing machine before - we recommend completing one of our beginner's classes first.
LUNCH: We will take a half an hour break for lunch, please bring a packed lunch.
This is not really enough time to pop to the shops to buy something, so please bring your lunch with you so that we can ensure you have enough time to complete all of the projects. We have a fridge you can store your lunch in and a microwave should you need. We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits.
PLEASE NOTE: After booking this class you will be sent two emails. This first will confirm your booking and the second will contain important information such as where to find us and the fabric requirements for the class. If you do not receive these please check your junk mail.
Ammendments and cancelations are only permitted within 48 hours of booking, so please ensure you can make the dates.
Our studio is on the first floor and we are sorry, but there is no lift.
