This alterations workshop will focus on hemming and shortening trousers. Bring along a pair of trousers and we will show you how to alter the length to suit you. You will learn how to pin and mark your trousers then how to unpick and re-sew.
Bring along a pair of trousers you wish to alter, these can be unlined trousers or jeans. You might want to bring along an extra pair, incase you are super quick!
Who is this class for? This alterations class is suitable for anyone who can confidently thread and use a sewing machine and is able to sew straight acurate seams. This means it’s not ideal if you are a total beginner. If you are a total beginner we recommend completeing our Beginners Complete Sewing Course first. This class is for over 16s only. What's included:
We will provide all of the kit you need from sewing machines to pins we have everything ready and waiting for you in out brilliant studio. We also provide any interfacing and thread you need so all you need to worry about is bringing along one or two garments that need to be altered. We'll also make sure there is a steady supply of tea, coffee and biscuits.
