Introducing the Dani shorts for summer capsule wardrobe a versatile design that offers both shorts and pants option with a comfortable elastic waist. This class is for the shorts only you can go on to make the pants at home or at one of our dressmaking classes as you will take the pattern home! There are so many learning techniques in this one cute pair of shorts !
In this class you will learn to:
Construct a paper bag waistband with 2 button holes
sew a fly front zip
Sew on patch pockets & cuff detail on hem
With all the techniques you will learn these shorts will definitely improve your sewing skills and build on what you have learned so far.
Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as linen ,linen rayon blends, cottons and twill.
This class uses Dani shorts & pants pattern by True Bias. True Bias have sized this pattern UK 8-20. Unfortunately we will not be able to make any amendments outside of this size range in the time allocated to this class.
What's Included
We will provide you with your own copy of the pattern which is your to keep. We also provide you with the use of our sewing machines and all the sewing kit you will need for your project is on hand in the studio. We will provide you with any basic notions you require such as elastic, interfacing, thread etc. Thread is from our extensive studio collection, If you are worried about an exact match we recommend bringing your own thread especially for top stitching.

This class is an improver dressmaking class. It is suitable for anyone who has completed some beginner level dressmaking projects like Sew a Simple dress or perhaps the Stevie top. Don't worry if this is your first improver class we are here to help every step of the way.
