As the winter approaches, don’t forget about your furry best friends. Create a cosy and warm dog coat for your pup and use up those awkward scraps of fabric whilst you are at it, win win!
This dog coat pattern is from Closet Core Patterns and is a lovely, snug design, perfect for Scottish winters. The top portion is darted around the bottom to create a curved shape around the hip while the harness wraps under and velcros on top to help keep their chests dry while leaving the nether regions free and clear.
This pattern will give you the opportunity to try a tiny bit of quilting as well as working with bias binding.
The pattern is drafted to fit dogs with a back length of 8-28 inches.
